Born in Sicily Italy, in the mid-1950’s his family immigrated to NY. Throughout his 40 year career as a Wine Industry professional, Jack has carried with him a great passion for the wine business and all that is Italian. “The Culture, Art, People, Food and Italy’s unique diversity of great wines have always inspired me”

An early tenure with Mediterranean Imports in the 80s, we introduced America to the true Pioneer Wineries of fine Italian wines, such as Bertani, Castelllo Di Fonterutoli, Ceretto, Mastroberardino, Livio Felluga, and Castello Di Monsanto. In 1990 as head of newly formed Prestige Wine Imports, Jack spearheaded the launch and successful rise of brands such as MezzaCorona, and Castello Di Gabbiano.

Holding executive positions with several leading Import Companies, Cacciatos’ experience, coupled with his affinity for Italy, led to make his passion a reality and established WineWave Imports. “The name held significance for me; the combination of nature’s great forces, the wind and sea that create the wave, became a metaphor for the collaboration of man and nature to create great wines.” His passion lied in the desire to introduce new and unique Italian wines and work with the Families that are dedicated to this vocation”.

For over 25 years, WineWave represented producers from all over Italy; Castello d’Albola, Ormani, Fattoria Dei Barbi, Fontana Freda, Marchesi di Barolo, GiGi Rosso and Bava from Piedmont and Pellegrino from Sicily were hallmarks of the WineWave portfolio.

Wine Life Selections is the Evolution of these experience and combines new associations with wineries to create “New Innovations”. My Success’s and Challenges, but always optimistic for the next adventure. Now partnered with Carmine Valle, we share a 20 year friendship and a longing to work together. Carmines Company, Wine Country International is an Import and Compliance Service Company. On the base of this platform we are building a portfolio of fine Italian Wines and partnering with one of Italy’s leading Wine Co-ops, we are introducing new ground breaking wines in bottles and in alternative packaging.

In 1996 he joined the newly formed Mionetto Company and was first to introduce America to the joys of Prosecco. An opportunity arose and Leaving Mionetto, he headed up the Villa Sandi Prosecco Company. As a true Ambassador for Prosecco, he placed these brands with distributors around the country.

Throughout his travels in Italy with associations he had procured, he saw and opportunity to provide Italian Wineries Consulting Advisement and with a vehicle to Import their wines to the US. In 2006 he began World Direct Consulting and shortly after Wine Twist Imports.

Wine Twist setup offices on Long Island and together with the Partnership of his Wife Daniela, they created a platform for wineries to self-Import their wines utilizing the Licenses and Administrative Services of Wine Twist Imports. This allowed wineries to keep Inventory stateside providing easy accessibility for US Customers.

Today Wine Twist provides Importing and local Distribution to NY, NJ and Ct, in addition to logistic and compliance services to over 50 Wineries, Distributors and US clients. In 2019 together with longtime friend of 20 years Jack Cacciato, we created Wine Life which serves as a National Sales and Marketing Organization.

She spent her childhood traveling back and forth to Italy’s wine making regions, digging for fossils in Montalcino’s historic vineyards and ultimately fulfilling a lifelong dream to study in Florence.  

Upon graduation from college, she assumed a sales and marketing role in the family business WineWave spending 7 years working with Italian producers from Barolo to Etna. During this time she cultivated a deeper understanding of the International wine landscape and went on to pursue her Level 3 certificate in Wines and Spirits through the WSET.  

In 2013, this deep connection to wine, culture and business lead Christina to Winebow where she fulfilled the role of Italian Portfolio Specialist for the NY Metro area. As the company grew, so did her responsibilities and reach. While at Winebow, Christina worked passionately with Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, National Accounts and Portfolio Management on a National scale. The cross collaboration was instrumental in building a skillset and exposing her to the many dynamic aspects of the Wine Business.  

In January of 2020, she left Winebow to pursue other opportunities and began Invaiatura LLC. As veraison brings color and ripeness to the cluster, Invaiatura aims to bring ripeness to all business endeavors. Since its inception, Invaiatura has been a consulting partner in Brand Strategy, Brand Development, PR and Marketing for companies such as WineLife and Banville Wine Merchants.  

Christina currently resides in NY with her husband and son (17mos) who enjoy wine almost as much as she does (he’s young but he’s got good taste). While Nebbiolo is a household favorite, Champagne and Chablis make regular appearances and act as supporting roles to the daily dishes they love to prepare as a family. Kayaking, hiking & fresh air are a few short stops on a long list of loves for this Wine loving lady.
